Anesthesia

While most patients find this procedure to be almost painless, we routinely offer topical and local anesthesia if you desire it. Here at Profiles, we want to be absolutely certain that we provide you every care possible to make your experience with us as enjoyable as possible.

The Botox Injections

At your initial Botox Cosmetic™ Consultation, we will take the time you need to determine if Botox is right for you and to explain, in detail if you wish, what you can expect. Dr. Litner or Dr. Solieman will then examine your facial movement and areas of wrinkling in order to precisely determine the optimal locations to be treated. The Botox is then administered directly into the muscle with several tiny injections. The process itself takes about ten minutes to complete.

Botox at PROFILES

After The Botox Injections

There is little downtime associated with the Botox injection. While some minor swelling or bruising may occur at the injection site, patients are able to immediately return to work and other normal activities. The injection will usually begin to take effect in about three to five days with the maximum effect occurring in about two to three weeks. Botox works on two levels, providing immediate improvement of wrinkles associated with expressions while also helping over time to prevent deeper wrinkles when regular appointments are kept. The results last up to four months on average. After that time, you will begin to notice a gradual return to your pre-treatment appearance.
